Finally a sim card
As I let it be known, My mobile got pinched a couple of weeks back and I finally have a replacement, Well sort of the story is to convoluted to go into fully so lets just say I have a stand in phone. A sort of understudy phone.
Anyway I needed a new sim card as well and so I went on-line Two Saturdays ago and ordered myself an Orange pay as you go sim card for £2.99 but could I please allow 5 working days for delivery. At that price yes.
So I waited.
And waited.
Then I got bored, on Saturday I rang them up.
"Hello Mr Orange man, Where's the sim card that I ordered"
"It is on it's way and will be with you Tuesday due to the bank holiday Monday"
"Thank you Mr Orange man"
Click.
Tuesday arrived and there was no little envelope waiting for me at work (I get all parcels delivered to work as the door is manned from early AM). Blood starts to boil.
By lunch time there was still no sign of my sim card and I called them.
"Hello Mr Orange man, Where's the sim card that I ordered!
"Errrr I will just check, It is still in our warehouse awaiting dispatch!
"What!"
"I'm not sure what has happened but it has not been dispatched yet"
"Then why was I told on Saturday that it would be with me today"
"Who told you that"
(The fucking Easter bunny who do you think)
"One of your operators"
"Well I'm sorry that you were advised that but that is not true the order quite clearly shows that it has not left our warehouse."
(Well derrrr shit for brains it would be here if I had been told the truth)
"WHAT!"
Sensing the change in my demeanor Mr O tries to console me with help and company policy.
BAD MOVE.
"I think the best thing I can do is to cancel and place the order again and the sim card should be with you at the end of this week next week at the latest."
"I'm sorry you are telling me I have to wait another week possibly two after I have waited a week already"
"Yes"
BOOM!!!!!!
What followed was 10mins of verbal attack that had been well thought out and delivered with a precision blow to maximum effect.
Crap.
I told him to stick the sim card I would go and buy one in a shop.
So I did and it cost me £4.99
And now my phone works, but don't try to call it as my number wont be transferred until the 4th.
